Hi folks!

In an effort to be a bit more focused with my creative output, I’ll be relegating the music updates to a less frequent schedule, focusing instead of tabletop RPG stuff with the newsletter. Don’t worry! I’m still doing my radio show every 1st and 3rd Sunday at 10pm PST over at XRAY.fm. The Beehiiv exclusive playlists will return eventually too, and all the prior playlists can be found in the archives. For now: TTRPGs!

As I mentioned in the prior newsletter, I have a new Mothership project: LAST LIGHT STATION. It’s an 8-page shore leave location designed for ease of use at the table. There are new items, dangerous cybermods, entertainment options, and even a karaoke bar. Crowdfunding kicks off on Backerkit TOMORROW (February 24th!). I’ll even be doing a little livestream at 8am PST with friend and collaborator, Waco Matrixo. I hope you’ll consider backing and telling your pals!

Jes the Human has organized a fundraiser for the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota, and I have some of my releases in it! Donate $10 or more and receive over a THOUSAND games. Even if you’re not into TTRPGs or video games, there’s likely something in there for you — and it’s for a great cause. Check it out below:

Lastly, I wanted to highlight a few other TTRPG projects funding during Zine Month.

First, Waco Matrixo’s CAIN SUN! This is a Mothership adventure where you play as parasites competing for control of the same guy. Wild! If you back both Last Light Station and CAIN SUN, you’ll receive a free digital tri-fold adventure we’ll be creating!

Next is Rumoured Blades #2. This one came across my Bluesky feed and I was immediately enamored. Last Light Station will have a limited edition riso print version, and I’m always excited to see what folks are doing with it. Plus, COOL SWORDS!

Up next, we’ve got Von Hynd Manor, a system neutral point crawl written by Stella Condrey. Stella has put out some of my favorite Mothership releases, but I’ve slept on her other stuff. This is apparently a remaster of sorts from an older adventure, so if you missed the boat the first time, now’s your chance.

Last, but not least: Twisting Unseen. Am I a bit biased having worked with Chris? Yes. Do I think I’m overselling it when I say this is one of the most original Mothership modules I’ve come across? No. Per the BK: “Twisting Unseen is a module of teleportation gates and the cursed beings living behind them, for the Mothership Sci-Fi Horror RPG. In this second installment of Sleeper Crew Adventures, the crew awaken within the Kagami Arcology: a decrepit superstructure where a treasonous military faction has reactivated ruinous portal tech.” The build-your-own-dungeon aspect to this one has me particularly intrigued.

Okay, that’s it for February. I’ll be back sometime mid-late March to check in, but in the meantime, one last ask: please share Last Light Station with your pals! Every backer brings the project one step closer to being a reality. Thanks for your support.

Kindly,

Joshua
